Services

  • Infusion: Your provider may order medications to be infused in our on- site clinic for the purpose of helping to manage symptoms or provide disease modifying therapy. Our infusion clinic at the Conventus Medical Office Building offers trained staffing to assist.

  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): MRI provides the most sensitive non-invasive test for helping to diagnose MS and determine disease status as well as response to therapy. Most MRIs are performed in Kaleida Health’s Buffalo General Medical Center interpreted by our own neuroimagers and are updated with the latest protocols. Staff at the JMSCTR assist with scheduling and confirm insurance coverage. More information on MRIs can be found on National MS Society's Diagnosing Tools page.

  • OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography): OCT is a simple scanning procedure that uses light waves to take pictures of the nerve in the back of your eye (retina). The findings from these scans can aid in assessing current status and prognosis.

  • Social Work: Our social worker assists patients by arranging referrals for counseling and services such as transportation, assistance to alternative care settings, help obtaining durable medical supplies and medication assistance, as well as linkage to community support groups and resources. Additionally, the social worker will collaborate with local agencies and organizations on a patient’s behalf.

  • Cognitive Assessments and Therapy: Because MS has been shown to affect cognitive function in many patients, your provider may refer you for early assessment and therapeutic approaches for maintaining/enhancing your brain health. For more information, please click here.

  • Wellness: Research has provided significant evidence for the benefits of exercise and certain diet practices to help manage MS. Your provider can offer resources and may refer you to trained specialists for evaluation/consultation.
